Like the flowers outside, the Alliance is growing this Spring! 

With much excitement, the Alliance is pleased to announce that Rob Totaro will soon join our State Alliance team as the Associate Director of Member Advancement.  In this role, Rob will work closely with Mary Kay Polston, Director of Member Advancement to determine and respond to the service delivery needs of the Ys in our state. 

Rob is returning to the Y movement after spending time on the leadership team of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA). In his role as Director of Communications and Public Relations, Rob managed communication strategies across the association’s 11-state territory and implemented local, regional, and national public relations campaigns to gain exposure and highlight the association as an industry leader. Prior to joining the NRLA, Rob spent six and a half years with the Capital District YMCA where he developed strategic and innovative methods to communicate the Y mission. He was a frequent educator and speaker at local, regional, and international events and conferences.

Rob is thrilled to be returning to the Y and is excited to bring his professional perspective from both inside and outside the YMCA to help the YMCAs of New York State prosper and grow. We are equally thrilled to welcome him to the Alliance of New York State YMCAs’ team.
